The Prætorian Guard is an Order-aligned guild for the MMORPG Warhammer: Age of Reckoning (WAR). We aim to be a friendly, powerful, and fun guild in WAR, with a solid mix of roleplaying, PvE, and PvP/RvR. We have many experienced members joining our ranks from "World of Warcraft", as well as many new recruits who are starting fresh adventures with us.

Our guild's roleplaying theme is based on the Roman legions of old, and you can read more about it by following the links in the sidebar to the left.

Alliance is forming

Currently, The other Officers and Myself have begun the formation of an Alliance with former Venture Co. Guild (Much Too Much).

Once Mythic fixes the Alliance bug that stops additional guilds from joining...SVP and Whitefist's Wolves' Alliance and ours will merge into one.

The tentative name for this alliance stands as "The Vanguard Companies" (Now look real hard and our former VeCo friends will understand )

Collector's Edition pre-order customers will be granted Head Start access on September 14th at 7am EDT. Characters created in the Head Start program will carry over when the servers officially go live on the Day of Reckoning - September 18th.

Pre-order customers will be able to log into the game starting September 16th at 7am EDT. Preview Weekend Over - Open Beta is Next!

Well, I hope everyone who had a chance to play during the preview weekend enjoyed themselves, and got a little taste of what WAR has to offer. There are still some considerably annoying bugs that need to be fixed, so it seems like the developers will be hard at work over the next month and far beyond. That said, the core gameplay concepts are very, very solid, and if they can eliminate a bunch of the bugs, the game should be a blast to play.

Look forward to the Open Beta, starting September 8th.

Warhammer Preview Weekend

EDIT: It seems that the "Tyrion" server might be down for the weekend, so we'll be playing on the "Mad Dog Pass" server for the preview. See you there.

For anyone who's managed to get an invite to this weekend's preview event, the server to join is going to be "Tyrion", simply because it has the largest number of <PG> people playing there at the moment. When you log in, send a message to myself or Oakblade, and we'll see if we can form a guild up and kick some Destruction butt together. We're both currently in the closed beta, as are several other <PG> members, so if you've got any questions about the game, ask away.
